Halifax regular Maasdam departing Around Georges Island.
RCCL’s Enchantment of the Seas Rounding Georges Island to tie up at pier 22.
Cruise ships will sometimes round the island on arrival or departure to give passengers a view of the city (and to show off the boat to locals). Yesterdays departure of Carnival Glory was different – though she was docked facing the inner harbour, she backed out of her birth, and turned in anchorage 1 – just as you would backing out of your driveway at home.
The Princess Danae arrived in port this morning, the First Cruise Ship of the season.
The only other visitor for the Month of April is Maasdam, who will appear almost weekly for the entire season, which peaks in september, and wraps up with Departure of Royal Caribian’s Jewel of the Seas on Oct 27th.
