Onego sent another vessel to Halifax Loaded with rails for CN. the Capri arrived over the weekend, and is slightly larger and newer then the Onego Trader that was here last week.

Westerkade for Eimskip
Westerkade made her first appearance in Halifax today for Eimskip. Operated by Seaboard Marine, she has been chartered, likely to replace a vessel out for periodic maintenance. She was built in 2000, and at 127m in length, is a common size for general cargo vessels.

Onego Trader with Rails
The Onego Trader arrived this morning with a load of Rails for CN. She Tied up at pier 27.
Onego Vessels frequently deliver rails for CN through Halifax. So frequently perhaps, that the Dutch company uses the Peggys cove lighthouse as a background on their website onegoshipping.com/
FLORIJNGRACHT for CFIA Inspection
Aivik
The RORO Heavy Lift Vessel Aivik Arrived at Pier 29 this morning, and has evidently been sold. Her Canadian Registry has been closed, and she is in the process of Reflagging.
She was owned and Operated by NEAS – Nunavut Eastern Arctic Shipping, and was a very versitle ship, given her heavy duty 155mt derricks, RORO Ramp and Ice class hull. She is likely being replaced with a Pure container vessel.

Jan Van Gent.. Again.
Another Shot of Jan Van Gent for Nirint, Unlike other Nirint vessels she likes to tie up bow forward, Since her cranes are on her Starboard side, As opposed to other vessels where they are on the port side.

Star Kilimanjero
The Star Kilimanjaro arrived at pier 28 this Morning. She is an open hatch general cargo bulk carrier with two 70 MT gantry cranes on deck and 11 box-shaped cargo holds intended for the carriage of baled pulp, ore, grain, cement, paper, packaged lumber and other solid bulk cargoes.
She was built in 2009 and is owned By Grieg International, and operated by their subsitdury grieg Star Lines, both of Norway. You Can see the vesels particulars here (PDF)
