The New Ferry is under construction at AF Theriaut & Sons, the same firm that built the Christopher Stannix, and is due to be delivered in the Spring of 2015.
The first of RCCL’s Vision Class, She went into service in 1995. Of the 6 vision class vessels, she is the 3rd to visit halifax, the others being Grandeur of the Seas & Enchantment of the Seas
Tonight the JRCC coordinated a response to the tall ship Silva of York Redoubt with 51 Persons on board. The vessel apparently lost power and required the assistance of a tug to return to port.
JRCC Tasked 3 CCGS Vessels and a 413Sqn Cormorant to assist.
