Bilbao Bridge – Backwards
In a nice change, the Bilbao bridge tied up the the west end of Fairview Cove backwards. Ships usually tie up front to sea, but Bilbao Bridge likely requires some sort of work to be done necessitating the backwards docking.
The Ship is Running for the Alliance’s AL6 Route. She is scheduled to sail tonight.
The Largest Container Ship to Call in Canada.
On Friday, The Port of Vancouver’s Deltaport welcomed the largest container vessel to call in Canada. The Hapag-Lloyd 13,200 TEU “Antwerpen Express” has been deployed as part of THE Alliance’s Transpacific mainline West Coast PN3 service.
To Date, the Largest vessel to Call in Halifax, was the CMA-CGM Tage, at 9365TEU. Sister ship CMA-CGM Loire is due to call this Saturday,and CMA-CGM Rhone has called in the past.

First Call for the Alliances AL1 Service
YM Essence Sailed early this morning concluding the first call for the Alliances AL1 Service. AL1 is served exclusively by Yang-ming Vessels, and also will have calls from YM Express, YM Evolution and YM Enlightenment.
The AL 1 Service looks to mirror the transatlantic portion of the G6 PA1 service. the routing is as follows:
Bremerhaven – Antwerp – UK – Norfolk – Philadelphia – New York – Halifax – Bremerhaven
