The General cargoship Helga made a stop at pier 27 to unload Nickle Concentrate. Nirint Vessels normally stop at the next pier over, however that one is setup to recieve a cruise ship.

Dinkeldiep Bows Out.
With the Return of Nolhanava to Halifax, Dinkeldiep’s time on the St Pierre Run is over. After offloading on Friday, She moved to the basin to anchor, and Sailed for St John’s on Sunday.
Nolhanava Loaded on Saturday, and sailed for St Pierre.
BBC Paula makes a Quick Stop
BBC Paula tied up at pier 30 on the 13th, and sailed the next day on the 14th. She likely worked some piece of break bulk cargo, but Im not sure what.

Nolhanava
The Nolhanava is back. She recently spent time in China having a new exhaust scrubber installed (note how large the funnel is now) Besides the Scrubber, the ship got the new Green and yellow paint job (which looks good, except for the bridge and the bright yellow striping which is just weird.
Nolhanava returned with a full load of container stacked on deck. They appear to share the logo that is on the funnel of the ship, so they may be attempting to move fright in their own boxes now.
Nolhanava is returning to the St Pierre run.
Sara with Rail.
The General Cargo ship Sara arrived yesterday form Poland with a load of rails for CN at pier 27.
Built in 2003, In the Netherlands, she flies the Dutch flag.
Spiekeroog to pier 9
Last night brought the arrival of another general cargo ship to pier 9. There appear to be cable handling gear on the pier which may be loaded aboard.
Spiekeroog was built in China in 2013. She carries 2 45 ton cranes.
Mont Blanc
The BBC Mont Blanc arrived today with a deck load of parts of something – likely more of the Cement Plant Being Constructed in Quebec. She tied up at pier 30 just before 1800, forward of the Asian Moon.
Mont Blanc is of course a problematic name for a vessel in Halifax. Recall it was the Mont Blanc colliding with the Imo in the narrows that caused the Halifax explosion. The BBC Mont Blanc is 125m in length vs the SS Mont Blanc 98m length.
Asian Moon for Nirint
Asian Moon made her second stop in Halifax last night, with a load of Nickle Sulfide from Mariel Cuba. The Asian Moon was built at Jiandong Shipyard Wuhu, China in 2006. at 148m in length, she is typical of the general cargo Vessels that frequent Halifax.
In front, framing the ship are A Tenberg Ships Tractor used for unloading trailers from RO-RO vessels, and an Ottawa Yard tractor used for pulling Container Chasis. Both are owned by Logistec.
Noranda Madeleine arrives with new Riser
The general cargo ship Noranda Madeleine arrived at pier 9 from France yesterday afternoon with a new Drilling Riser. The Foam Buoyancy modules are already laid out on the pier, and as the riser pipe is unloaded it is assembled.
The Noranda Madeleine is due to sail tonight, and presumably at that time the riser will be loaded onto the platform supply vessels and transported to the Stenna Icemax.
If the Noranda Madeleine Looks Familiar, Its because she was a regular caller to Halifax as the Jan Van Gent for Nirint.
UPDATE: Besides adding a current Photo, She appears to be in the process of naming back to Jan Van Gent. Her stern is still painted Noranda Madeleine, but the Bow is in the process of reverting back to Jan Van Gent. See Shipfax Yesterday for a photo under the new (old?!)name.

Clipper Macau – More Cement Plant.
Clipper Macau, Currently sits at anchor in the Basin, after unloading the second load of a Cement plant. She Arrived at Pier 30 Febuary 29th, and moved to the basin Mach 1. The Hold Photo below was provided. Note the TweenDeck segments being removed
BBC Louisiana, who arrived on February 18, delivered the first load of the plant, which was built in china, and is bound for Quebec.
