The 4th Hero Class vessel, the CCGS Constable Carrière, was rolled out today to be painted This weekend.

“Constable J.L. François Carrière, a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Constable Carrière died on November 30, 1997, while conducting an underwater search of a vessel believed to be smuggling illegal drugs.”
Second Hero Class Mid Shore Patrol vessel, Caporal Kaeble VC was launched yesterday and is currently tied up at Pier 9. wasting No Time, The third Hero Class Corporal Teather CV was rolled out.
Unlike the first 2 vessels who are named after Army Victoria Cross Recipients, Corporal Teather was an RCMP Officer awarded the Cross of Valour, for rescuing 2 men from a capsized vessel in the Frasier river.
The Second Hero Class Mid Shore Patrol vessel for the Coastguard, is set to be launched this Saturday, September 22nd at noon.
The Corporal Kaeble VC will follow the Private Robertson VC which has now been accepted by the Coast Guard, and is currently in Hamilton Ontario.
Last week the Private Robertson VC was tied up at BIO. this was a good sign that she was complete and has been turned over from the builder. This was confirmed when she was registered in Ottawa on Aug 1.
She is the first of nine Hero Class vessels to be completed and enter service.
