The much awaited aircraft carrier is Due this Wednesday, tentatively arriving in Anchorage  1 (Between Georges and Mcnabs) 10:30am ish

UPDATE: 06/27:
USNS Robert E. Peary (T-AKE-5) , a Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship, is due at the dockyard today around 5pm. She is likely part of the Carrier Group.
UPDATE 2:
USS San Jacinto (CG-56) and USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG-81) will be tieing up at the Dockyard.they are both expected to arrive 9:30, and 10:30 respectively in the inner harbour. USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER is due 10am ish now. Post above has been updated

Update 04/18 – added photo after ship arrival

I have heard a few rumblings that the US Navy is sending an Aircraft carrier to Halifax at the end of the month. The most Detailed claim i have heard is that it is the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, and She will anchor in Anchorage 1.

Aircraft carriers never travel alone, and the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group Currently consists of the Ticonderoga Class Cruiser USS Normandy, and Destroyer Squadron 26; USS Stout, USS Mcfaul, USS Oscar Austin, USS Roosevelt, USS Mason, and USS Nitze. These are AEGIS and Arliegh Burke class Destroyers, though the entire squadron doesn’t always travel with the carrier.

I am unsure when the last carrier was in Halifax, but there hasen’t been one Since at least 2008*

*The Royal Navy sent the Arc Royal to the Fleet Review in 2010. Also present was the USS Wasp, which is an amphibious Assault ship, flightdeck not withstanding.

UPDATE: Found photos of the USS Theodore Roosevelt with the USS Essex together in 2015.

ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 28, 2015) The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) transits alongside the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region. I wasen’t able to get out to see her arrive, but USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51) arrived this morning. She tied up at NB, and took bunkers from the Algoma Dartmouth. so I am unsure which vessel it is. It appears to be an USS Arleigh Burke is the first Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer. She was commissioned in 1991, and is home-ported in Norfolk. She is Scheduled to Sail this afternoon around 3pm

USS Detroit sailed at noon, on her way to her new home port.

The latest US Navy Littoral Combat Ship is due for a port visit this afternoon. Expect her in the Harbour around 1:30.

this Variant of the LCS is built at the  Marinette Shipyard in  Wisconsin, and USS Detroit was commissioned in her Namesake city Oct 22. the Previous 3 freedom class ships have visited Halifax on there way to their home port, including LCS1 USS Freedom, LCS3 USS Fort Worth, and LCS5 USS Milwaukee. (The freedom class uses Odd numbers, the Independence class uses even)
