The USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has a pilot order posted for 0700 July 5th, however the barge along side is due to be moved at 9am.
The USS Winston Churchill Sails at 9, and the USS San Jancinto at 10. Ike’s Departure will likely be around 10, based on the availability of Tugs.
The USNS Robert E. Perry sails today at 1400.

Chilean Navy Barquentine Esmeralda due today. Built in 1954, she now serves as a training ship, but is reported to have been a floating prison and torture center for political prisoners of the Augusto Pinochet regime from 1973 to 1980.
Shes Due to Anchor in late this afternoon, and move to Pier 20 on the 29th. She was last here in May 2009.

The much awaited aircraft carrier is Due this Wednesday, tentatively arriving in Anchorage 1 (Between Georges and Mcnabs) 10:30am ish

USNS Robert E. Peary (T-AKE-5) , a Lewis and Clark-class dry cargo ship, is due at the dockyard today around 5pm. She is likely part of the Carrier Group.

USS San Jacinto (CG-56) and USS WINSTON S. CHURCHILL (DDG-81) will be tieing up at the Dockyard.they are both expected to arrive 9:30, and 10:30 respectively in the inner harbour. USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER is due 10am ish now. Post above has been updated
Update 04/18 – added photo after ship arrival
The past few days has brought the arrival of a Dutch Submarine, and word of a Visit by the Eisenhower Carrier Group at the end of the month. NATO has also announced an exercise running in the North Atlantic in Late June and early July.
The upcoming Dynamic Mongoose is scheduled for June 26 to July 8, 2017. Dynamic Mongoose is the second annual NATO-led maritime Anti-Submarine Warfare interoperability exercise. The aim of this exercise is to provide all participants with complex and challenging warfare training to enhance their interoperability and proficiency in anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare skills.

Saturday Saw the brief arrival of the Dutch Submarine HNLMS ZEELEEUW. Diesel Powered she put in for a logistics stop, tieing up at the Dockyard. She Sailed Sunday, But returned to port this morning at 1030. She is scheduled to sail this evening at 1700.

I have heard a few rumblings that the US Navy is sending an Aircraft carrier to Halifax at the end of the month. The most Detailed claim i have heard is that it is the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, and She will anchor in Anchorage 1.
Aircraft carriers never travel alone, and the Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group Currently consists of the Ticonderoga Class Cruiser USS Normandy, and Destroyer Squadron 26; USS Stout, USS Mcfaul, USS Oscar Austin, USS Roosevelt, USS Mason, and USS Nitze. These are AEGIS and Arliegh Burke class Destroyers, though the entire squadron doesn’t always travel with the carrier.
I am unsure when the last carrier was in Halifax, but there hasen’t been one Since at least 2008*
*The Royal Navy sent the Arc Royal to the Fleet Review in 2010. Also present was the USS Wasp, which is an amphibious Assault ship, flightdeck not withstanding.

ARABIAN GULF (Aug. 28, 2015) The Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2) transits alongside the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). Theodore Roosevelt is deployed in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations supporting Operation Inherent Resolve, strike operations in Iraq and Syria as directed, maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the region. Saturday brought the Arrival of 2 training ships. The First, The Italian Navy sail training vessel Amerigo Vespucci. Named after an Italian explorer the vessel is a full rigged three-masted steel hull 270.34 ft long, width of 15.5 m 51 ft. She has a draught of about seven metres (23 ft). She was built in 1930/31 and the design was inspired by the style of large late 18th century 74-cannon ships of the line. She is home-ported in La Spezia. I believe she was last in Halifax in 2000.
She will be open for tours at Pier 20 today 1600 – 1830 and 2030 to 2200, and tomorrow 1030-1200 and 1530-1700
The Second training Vessel is the TS State of Maine, which belongs to the Maine Maritime Academy. Built in 1990, she is the ex USNS Tanner (T-AGS-40) and was laid up following an engine room fire in 1993. In 1996 she began conversion to the training ship, and went on her first voyage in 1997. She is tied up at pier 23, and is not open to the public.
The us navy submarine USS Minnesota arrived Friday for the weekend. The US Navy traditionally sends a ship north for the Memorial Day weekend to commemorate American troops buried on dead and island from the war of 1812.
The boat is scheduled to sail tommorow morning
