2. HMS Queen Elizabeth goes to America
the Royal Navy’s new Aircraft Carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth is headed to America for tests with the F-35B. the F35-B variant is the vertical takeoff model, and is the aircraft the new british carriers were designed to Carry.
She was due to sail from Portsmouth, Aug 18, at 1800 local time.

Ottawa is set to spend $42million on Small Craft Harbours in Nova Scotia. Harbours being improved will be announced next week.

Bilbao Bridge and MOL Partner spent the morning at Fairview Cove. Both vessels represent 2/3s of ONE – the New shipping line that is the Merger of NYK, MOL and K-Lines container businesses.
Bilbao Bridge, Serving The Alliances AL6 service (below) was scheduled to sail at Noon, but didn’t get away until after 1pm.
MOL Partner, operating on The Alliances’ EC5 service, is not scheduled to depart until this evening.
At Halterm, Skogafoss is spending the day, scheduled to Sail at 16:30, along with Asian Sun for Tropical Shipping. The Car Carrier MONZA anchored for Gypsy moth Inspection, before moving to Autoport for 1pm.

HMCS Halifax pulls into Irving for Gas.
Warships often tied up directly at the Imperial oil wharves for fuel in the past, but to my knowledge, this is the first time a warship has pulled up to the Irving Oil wharf.
Since the navy is now pulling up to Irvings for gas like the rest of us, the question remains, when will we get a harbour side, ship sized BigStop.
HMCS Halifax spent the past week at the Static sound range off Mcnabs.
Packing them in at Halterm.
This morning saw 3 ships tied up at Pier 41/42. Oceanex Sanderling took up he usual spot at pier 41, and came off the dock at 11:45 to head over to Autoport. Warnow Sun, for Russian firm Atlantic RO-RO took up the Middle position. She is scheduled to sail this afternoon, though cargo operations appear to be complete.

Emskip vessel Skogafoss had the southern most position at pier 42, and Departed for Portland Maine at 11:30 (below) Skogafoss just coming off the dock Outbound.

2099 posts, over 2 million page views, 3100 twitter followers, and 11,946 tweets later here we are. Thanks for all the tips, the photos, and your interest. To the folks that read this on a regular basis, I’m glad you enjoy it.

Yachts at Purdy’s wharf
(Above) The 140.75ft Custom sail yacht ‘Koo’ was built by Vitters in Netherlands and was delivered to her owner in 2002 as Vent D’est . She was last refitted in 2016. Registered in London England, She sleeps 8 and carries a crew of 6.
(Below) The 150.92ft Custom motor yacht motor yacht ‘Mary A’ was built by Feadship in Netherlands in 2001 as Northern Light, and was last refit in 2010. she sleeps 12, and carries a crew of 9.
Maiden Call for Cruise Ship Victory II
The cruise ship Victory II arrived this morning at Pier 24. A New build, identical to her sister Victory I, she carries 200 passengers, and sails the waters of the Great Lakes, New England, and the Atlantic Coast.
